This Privacy Policy explains how the YourScroll mobile application handles information.

Information stored by the app

YourScroll does not require users to create an account.

Reflections written within the app are stored locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to YourScroll servers.

The app also stores settings on your device, such as your selected prompt categories, daily limit, writing goal, and other configuration needed for the app to function.

Screen Time data

YourScroll uses Apple's Screen Time (Family Controls) framework to block the apps you choose. When you select apps, Apple provides YourScroll with anonymous tokens rather than app names. These tokens cannot be read by us, are stored only on your device, and are passed back to iOS to apply blocking. Your app usage data is never transmitted to us and never leaves your device.

Notifications

YourScroll uses local notifications to tell you when you have reached your daily limit, when a focus session has finished, and occasionally about your trial. These notifications are generated on your device and are not sent through external servers.

Purchases

YourScroll is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never receive your payment details. We receive only a confirmation from Apple that a purchase was made, which unlocks the app on your devices.

Data collection

YourScroll does not collect, receive, or sell personal data from users of the app. Your reflections, settings, and app selections remain on your device.

Third-party services

The app relies on system services provided by Apple, including notifications, Screen Time, device storage, and in-app purchasing. These services are operated by Apple and may process information according to Apple's own privacy policies.

YourScroll does not share user data with third-party advertisers or analytics providers.

Data security

Since reflections and settings are stored locally on your device, you retain control over this information. However, the security of your device and operating system is outside the control of YourScroll.
